Sign Up for the Boy's Chrysalis Flight!10. Your teen will get a much bigger view of "the church" by meeting and making friends with a cross-section of teens from many other area churches.
9. Your teen will hear from a variety of quality speakers in our local area: pastors, lay adults and teenagers.
8. The snacks. And oh the snacks there are!
7. Learning "The Ballentine". It's a sweet dance move that almost guarantees dates to prom.
6. Worship. The singing at this event is wild, crazy, fun and at times reverential. They will come home humming tunes for weeks.
5. The love! They will experience so much love that it will jolt their spiritual lives like Red Bull to a Junior Higher.
4. The new friends. They will walk out of there with so many new friends that they will stay connected to for years. Some have even reconnected at college together.
3. Basketball and 4-Square. It gets vicious, ugly and darn right fun.
2. The FOOD! Dang do you eat, and eat well, with lots of variety and wonderful people serving and assisting with the meals. Just you wait and see! You may even fall in love with one of your cooks.
1. A Powerful Right of Passage. Confirmation is perfect for teens in Junior High. But High School presents so many more challenges to keep teens connected and involved in their faith. This one event is just as powerful a right of passage to capture teens who are 15 years old and older and help to remind them again what their faith is all about and why it is so important for them to continue putting effort into it. I relate Chrysalis as Confirmation on steroids. It is a one-time event that helps to reset the course of their spiritual life in the midst of all the distractions that can pull them away from their church / faith.
Sign up for Chrysalis! We have 2 teens signed up right now. I would love to get at least 3 more on this flight. This is a one time event that can have a tremendous impact on your teens' faith throughout high school and college. I can almost guarantee that this will be a powerful, memorable and awesome experience for them.
Here is some more information below from the Chrysalis board about the retreat weekend and all the links you need to get an application and fill it out.
Dear Chrysalis Community,
February 18th-20th will be the Guy’s Greater Cincinnati Chrysalis flight #37.
As of today, there is still room to get additional guys registered to attend the Chrysalis weekend.
The weekend is fast approaching and who is God leading you to sponsor or co-sponsor? Please pray about how you can impact those around you and God's kingdom through this flight. Applications for the flight can be found at http://cincinnatichrysalis.com/application.php
Applications are due by February 10th.
If God is not leading you to sponsor someone, how about making sure you are signed up for the prayer vigil or as a helper on the job board? It's a great opportunity to get out of the house on a cold winter day and warm your heart in the glory of serving.
