Symphonies of Love & Laughter II

On October 6, 2024, Epiphany United Methodist Church hosted "Symphonies of Love & Laughter: A Sandy Thornton Memorial Concert," a heartfelt tribute to Sandy Thornton, our beloved former worship director, who passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer. The evening was filled with classical music performed by choirs, handbells, and orchestra, each piece inspired by Sandy's life and legacy. Alongside these performances, original monologues brought her prayers and calls to worship to life, capturing the spirit of her devotion to the church community. During the concert, two original paintings were created live, each drawing its inspiration from the performances heard that night. The first painting was gifted to Sandy's immediate family, and the second, purchased via silent auction, now resides here at Epiphany United Methodist, a symbol of her enduring impact and love.

Donations

All proceeds from the concert and silent auction were shared between supporting Epiphany’s music programs and establishing a benevolence fund to aid members of the Epiphany community battling cancer. If you would like to contribute to either cause, please click below!
